Hossam Hassan renews Al Masry contract
Al Masry announced early on Sunday that Hossam Hassan signed a new one-year contract, keeping him at the club until the end of next season.
The announcement was made a couple of hours after the club successfully qualified to the round of 16 of the CAF Confederation Cup, after a 0-0 draw at home against Tanzanian side Simba S.C.
This contract will keep the former Jordan national team coach at the club for the fourth year running. Last season he was able to reach the Egypt Cup final with the Green Eagles and finished fourth in the Egyptian Premier League.
Club president, Samir Halabia, said that the board trusts the whole coaching staff and believes that they will be able to win some silverware in the upcoming year.
Al Masry are currently fourth on the Egyptian Premier League table with 49 points, five behind third-placed Zamalek with two games in hand. They will face Ittihad of Alexandria in their next game on March 31.
