Watford’s Miguel Britos after facing Salah: I’m very tired
Watford defender Miguel’s Britos didn’t hold back when talking about how tough it was to come up against Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in their humiliating 5-0 defeat last weekend in the Premier league.
Mohamed Salah found the net four times this weekend as well as assisting Firmino in Liverpool’s 5-0 win against Watford. Salah has now reached 28 goals in the Premier League and 36 goals in all competitions this season, just one goal less than Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Everyone is upset, angry as well because we didn’t play the way we wanted or prepared,” Britos told Watford’s official website.
“Salah is very strong player, very quick, he played on my side and today we defended with a five-three and he was always wider on my side. So a lot of times I had to run with him one-to-one and it’s normal he’s quicker than me and today he was good.”
The victory helped cement Liverpool’s position in the top four furthermore, closing the gap with United to two points despite the Red Devils having a game in hand with eight rounds to go.
“I’m very tired, like I said before maybe the first two three sprints after that I was in a rush, I needed to breathe, the intensity of the match was very high, because they started very strong, pressing us higher and it was very, very difficult for me today,” concluded Watford’s defender.
