Former Liverpool forward has suggested that the Reds star will not be leaving the club for any of Real Madrid or Barcelona this summer, stating that the La Liga giants would want to see more from the Egypt international.

Salah’s spectacular showings with Liverpool this season will reportedly lead the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona to come forward for the former Roma winger.

However, Liverpool deem Salah unsellable and are ready to ward off all attempts from the two teams in order to keep their top scorer for next season too.

“If I was Liverpool, I’d take it (interest in Salah) as a compliment. Why wouldn’t top clubs be interested? I’d be worried if they weren’t,” Bellamy told Sky Sports.

“But Real Madrid and Barcelona, who could be prepared to pay big money, will surely want to see another year from Salah. There are other players out there that have proved themselves over two or three years who might be closer to going to those types of clubs.”

“Those types of clubs are the pinnacle of football – if they come in for you, you want to be a part of that. They are on another planet, but I don’t see it happening this summer.”

The 25-year-old attacker is the top scorer of the English Premier League with 28 goals. Salah has scored a total of 36 goals in all competitions this season which puts him on the top of European Golden Boot race, and Bellamy reckons Liverpool’s style and Jurgen Klopp’s management were impactful.

“The way Liverpool play suits him, and he has a manager who makes sense to sign for in the Premier League. It is difficult because I don’t run Liverpool Football Club and I am not involved in the finance, but I would offer him a new contract straight away.”

“Make sure he is rewarded. Even though I imagine he is already on incredible wages I would bump that up even more just to make him even happier.”
