Chris Sutton: Mohamed Salah should be player of the year
Salah’s sparkling form has continued as he recently scored for the Egyptian national team against Portugal in a friendly game that ended in a late 2-1 defeat for the Pharaohs.
“The impact he has made this season,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live regarding Salah’s scintillating form over the course of the season.
“There were question marks about him. How he has responded this season at Liverpool is incredible. No one saw this coming.
“It has to be Salah for player of the year. Just on volume of goals. It is unbelievable,” Sutton added.
Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park next Saturday as they take on Crystal Palace in league matters as the Reds look to close the gap on second-placed Manchester United.
