On the other hand, Greece have not qualified for the World Cup, but are preparing for the UEFA Nations League and 2020 UEFA Euro qualifiers.

El-Shahat will be hoping to make his international debut on Tuesday after he was called-up by Héctor Cúper for the first time after his excellent performances with UAE’s Al Ain.

Meanwhile, Omar Gaber has 18 caps to his name, but his last international appearance came against Burkina Faso in the semi-finals of the 2017 AFCON.

Saying that Greece hasn’t qualified to the World Cup for the first time since 2010 is technically right but it indicates that they are a strong team which is deceiving. Greece before 2010 qualified only once (1994) when they couldn’t even score a goal in all three games (and conceded 10 goals). They qualified three times to the World Cup played ten games and won only two while scoring 5 goals and conceding twenty! They won the Euro Cup once as the biggest surprise in Euro Cup history when they had their “Gohary” style German coach who played extreme defense all the time and hoped for a goal.

They are famous for their “Gohary Style” excellent defense and lack of offense. It will definitely be a good test for our offence but it should be walk in the park for our defense.

Actually the editor made a mistake , greece qualifed for 2014 world cup and were knocked by costa rica in the round of 16
So Greece is actually a more defnesive team due to their strength im defense with likes of manolas sokratis torosidis and so on . It will be a cagey affair
