Liverpool are set to reward Salah for his excellent performances this season with a new bumper contract which would see him earn £200,000 a week, according to the Mirror.

Following an individual season which has seen Salah score 36 times for the Reds in all competitions this season, Salah has been the talk of a lot of interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich who are both looking to find long term replacements for aging and injury prone forwards such as Benzema, Bale, Ribery and Robben.

However, in spite of the opportunity to play for one of Europe’s elite clubs Salah appears to be staying at Liverpool for the foreseeable future as he is believed to be offered a contract which will see him earn more than double his current salary.

Throughout this decade, Liverpool have been the victims of losing their star players to perhaps more attractive destinations such as Fernando Torres to Chelsea, Luis Suarez and Coutinho to Barcelona and Raheem Sterling to Manchester City. Salah, a self proclaimed Liverpool fan, appears to be headed on a different route for now at least.

Liverpool’s next game is away at Crystal Palace after the international break on the 31st of March at 2:30PM Egyptian time, in a fixture which has been a banana skin for the Merseyside club in recent years.
