’s agent has refuted claims regarding the rumors surrounding the player’s future at the Hawthorns.

Gabr, 29, sealed his loan move to English Premier league outfits coming from Zamalek after impressing the side with his performances in last year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Egypt international defender has not yet made his debut since joining the club, which is understandable seeing that they lie bottom of the league and every match is a crucial one in their bid for survival.

Rumors have circulated over the past days about the player’s future and they spread really fast after Al Ahly’s honorary president Turki Al-Sheikh tweeted on his Twitter account that he might be after a center-back from the English Premier league, where many people assumed he means Gabr.

Ali Gabr’s agent refuted all rumors, saying: “Regarding the future of Ali Gabr, there is no news and I repeat that people should stop believing in any of these rumours,” Christian Emile told KingFut.

“I repeat, Ali is focused on winning his place in the West Brom team and staying with them. That’s it, all the speculation about a return to Egypt or anywhere else is just nonsense. When there is something concrete to announce you will hear from me, no one else!“ he concluded.

Gabr has only featured once since his last appearance on club level on the 14th of January for Zamalek; starting a match for the Baggies’ U23 team. He also started Egypt’s friendly against Portugal a few days ago.
