Salah second best winger in 2018 after Messi – Report

Liverpool and star has been ranked as the second best winger in 2018 coming right after Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, according to a report.

Salah is having a spectacular season with the Reds this term. He is the current Premier League top scorer with 28 goals and he leads the race for the European Golden Boot race with 38 goals in all competitions.

The 25-year-old wideman impressive displays this year made Liverpool consider offering him a new contract to tie him down with La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona emerging as possible suitors for the Egypt international in the summer.

According to an approach from CIES Football Observatory, Salah came second in the ranking of the best performing wingers in 2018 after Lionel Messi who topped the standings, followed by Milan’s Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-Min Son.

Salah also starred for Egypt in their most recent friendly game against Portugal, where he scored the Pharaoh’s goal in their 1-2 defeat, and will be leading the side in the upcoming World Cup in Russia.
