Mohamed Salah gives opinion on March friendlies
Egypt international Mohamed Salah has praised the March international camp, saying that the two friendlies offered the team great experiences.
Héctor Cúper decided to try new faces against Greece and gave chances to a number of inexperienced players, namely Mohamed Awad, Ayman Ashraf, Mohamed Magdy, and Hussein El-Shahat.
He also rested Mohamed Salah, Abdallah El-Said, Ahmed Hegazi, and Ahmed Fathi, which led to the team showing in a dismal form against the Greek side.
“The two games were very important and gave us good experiences,” Mohamed Salah told ONSport after the game.
“Héctor Cúper will now evaluate all the players who were in the camp, espcially that this was the last camp before the World Cup and the next one will be in May.
“All the players appeared in a good way and what is important are the lessons we learned during this camp. It’s now the manager’s turn to evaluate everything,” the Liverpool winger added.
Mohamed Salah will now return to England as Liverpool have a number of big games in the upcoming period, including a double-header against Manchester City in the Champions League.
Egypt’s next games will be against Kuwait on May, 26, before facing Colombia and Belguim on June 1 and June 6 respectively.
The Pharaohs were drawn in group A alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and hosts Russia, with their first game coming against the South American side, then Russia and Saudi Arabia.
