Omar Gaber provides update on injury suffered against Greece
The Los Angeles player, who started at left-back, was forced off 51 minutes into the game after falling down injured and was replaced by Ayman Ashraf.
His sudden exit sparked fears of another injury setback, espcially with the player missing his club’s pre-season due to a long-term injury.
He tweeted: “Thanks to everyone who checked on me, a sprain in the inner knee ligament, thank god for everything.”
شكرا لكل واحد سأل و اطمن عليا الحمدلله جزع فى الرباط الداخلى للركبة الحمد لله على كل شىء

The medical staff team have also announced that he will need time test rest before heading back to the United States. Gaber has a record of injuries and has lately missed three weeks of action after sustaining a groin injury.
The Greece game was Gaber’s 19 international appearance, with his last one before that coming against Burkina Faso in the semi-finals of the 2017 AFCON.
Egypt’s next games will be against Kuwait on May, 26, before facing Colombia and Belguim on June 1 and June 6 respectively.
The Pharaohs were drawn in group A alongside Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and hosts Russia, with their first game coming against the South American side, then Russia and Saudi Arabia.
