Danny Simpson selects Mohamed Salah as Men’s Player of the Year
The former Manchester United player also selected David de Gea, Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, James Tarkowski, Ben Davies, Leroy Sané, Kevin de Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, and Raheem Sterling in his team of the year in addition to Salah.
Mohamed Salah has been on fire since joining the Reds in the summer, scoring 36 goals and assisting 10 others in just 41 appearances for Liverpool. His performances have been record breaking, most recently becoming the first Egyptian to ever score a super-hattrick in a Premier League match.
His impact has not just been felt in Liverpool, but also with the Egyptian National Team. Most recently, Salah scored Egypt’s lone goal in the March friendlies and scored the goal that sent Egypt to their first World Cup in 28 years.
Though his performances have been massive for Liverpool, concern remains over the summer transfer window. Many big clubs in Europe including Real Madrid and Bayern München have reportedly been interested in signing the 25-year-old from the Reds.
Meanwhile, Salah continues to be a fan-favorite among the Liverpool faithful with many fans coming up with songs for the ‘Egyptian King’. He also recently surprised school kids who visited Anfield in an elaborate prank.
