Liverpool winger has revealed his delight after netting the winner against Crystal Palace, but insisted that the three points is the most important thing.

Salah once again guided his team to victory as he scored Liverpool’s winning goal against Crystal Palace in the 32nd week of the English Premier League.

Following his goal Salah has now scored 29 goals in the Premier League, equalling Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba’s record as the African player with the most Premier League goals in a single season.

He will now aim to become the second African to win the Golden Boot after Didier Drogba, who won it twice in 2007 and 2010.

And the 25-year-old talked about his goal and the positive result in a post-match interview following their late win over at the Selhurst Park.

“For me the most important thing is the final result. I always work for the team so getting the three points is the most important thing,” Salah told beIN SPORTS.

“Of course, playing against Crystal Palace at their ground is not easy, which explains the difficulty of the game.

“I expected the ball to reach me when Andrew Robertson crossed it. I controlled it with my left foot and set it in front of me and hit it powerfully with my right foot towards the goal.

“At the end the ball hit the back of the net and we got the three points and that’s the most important thing,” he concluded.

The former Roma and Chelsea player is currently on top of the Golden Boot race with 29 goals, five ahead of second-placed Harry Kane.

He has a massive opportunity to break Andy Cole and Alan Shearer’s record for most goals scored in one Premier League campaign (34), with the Egyptian needing to score six goals in the remaining six Premier League games.

Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League table with 66 points, one above third-placed Manchester United, with the Red Devils having two games in hand.

Their next game will be against Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League next Wednesday.
