Mohamed ElNeny and Ramadan Sobhi both feature in Arsenal’s big win against Stoke City

Mohamed ElNeny and Ramadan Sobhi both started as Arsenal defeated Stoke City 3-0 in the English Premier League.

Just four minutes into the game, Stoke City came close to scoring, however,  Xherdan Shaqiri’s curled shot from the edge of the box went inches wide.

In the 37th minute, ElNeny received the first yellow card ofthe game, following his foul on Joe Allen.

Three minutes later, ElNeny tried his luck from distance, however his powerful shot was deflected by Stoke’s defenders into a corner kick.

ElNeny nearly scored his first Premier League goal in the 58th minute, however his close range effort was denied by Martins Indi.

Shaqiri almost scored an brilliant goal directly from a corner kick as his curled cross hit the post, with 20 minutes remaining to the full time whistle.

In the 75th minute, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang managed to break the deadlock as he sent the ball home from the spot, following a clumsy tackle by Martins Indi on Ozil inside the box.

Granit Xhaka came on to replace ElNeny in the 76th minute.While, Sobhi was replaced by Peter Crouch in the 80th minute.

Nine minutes later, Aubameyang doubled his tally as he placed the ball past Jack Butland, scoring his fifth Premier League goal.

Late drama in the dying moments of the game, as Arsenal won their second penalty of the day after Lacazette was brought down by N’Diaye. The Frenchmen converted the penalty he won into the back of the net making it 3-0 for the Gunners.

Following the match, Arsenal occupy the sixth league spot with 51 points and are set to host CSKA Moscow on the fifth of April, while, Stoke City sits 19th with 27 points and will welcome Tottenham Hotspur on the seventh of the same month.
