Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi to attend two-week training period at Manchester United
Chairman of the Saudi General Sports Authority is sending Al-Ittihad’s striker Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi to Old Trafford for two-weeks of training.
Al-Sheikh invited Al-Ghamdi to his office after the player’s outstanding performance in his club’s last game, where they thrashed Al-Batin 6-2 during the semi-finals of the King Cup of Champions.
Al-Ghamdi will attend a two-week preparatory camp at Manchester United. Al-Sheikh urged the 23-year-old player to double his efforts in this coming period and work hard to raise his performance, per a statement released by the Saudi Football Federation.
Al-Ghamdi will be the second Saudi international to go on a training period after Mohamed El-Sahlawi has been approved to spend a three-week trial term with the English club, following the footsteps of Saudi Arabia star Fahad Al Muwallad.
Al Ittihad striker has played five games with his side in the Saudi Professional League this season but without scoring any goals.
