Sadio Mane: We are going to help Salah score more goals
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane said that he is positive that his Egyptian teammate Mohamed Salah will be able to continue scoring goals this season in the remaining league games and the UEFA Champions League.
Thanks to his late winner against Crystal Palace in the 32nd week of the Premier League, Salah now netted 29 goals in 21 games and became only the third Premier League player to score in 21 different games after Ronaldo and Van Persie.
Liverpool were down by one goal at Selhurst Park up until the Senegalese striker managed to put his side back to the game scoring the equalizer in the 49th minute.
“Mo can make the difference in tight games,” Mane said. “He’s a great player and he helps us to win games. He showed his quality. Everybody is happy to have Mo in the team.”
“We are going to help him to score even more goals for us. We want to give him more assists,” he added.
The Reds are currently preparing to clash with league leaders Manchester City on Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final, with the second leg set to be held at Etihad Stadium on April 10.
“City is a very big game but everything is possible,” he said. “We play at Anfield. We’re going to do our best.”
Jurgen Klopp’s side are the only team to beat Man City in the Premier League this season as they earned a remarkable 4-3 victory in January.
