Ex- player Dietmar Hamann has spoken out about Salah, calling him “remarkable” and questioning if the Premier League will see another goal-scoring winger like

The former German international is among the many to be impressed with Salah’s incredible debut season with Liverpool, where the Egyptian has tallied 29 goals so far this season in the Premier League.

Hamann said, “He’s having a great run. Every time he shoots he scores. Yes, he has surprised me”.

Speaking to Omnisport, he continued, “I don’t know if we’ll ever see a winger in the Premier League who scores the amount of goals he has scored but with a note of caution, I don’t think he’ll carry on this form forever because as a winger, wide player, this is not normal”.

The 2005 Champions League winner added to his word of caution, saying, “So if he goes three, four, five games without scoring, don’t get upset. He’s a huge value for the team but to top goal scoring charts is remarkable”.

Lastly, Hamann backed Salah to win the Player of the Year award. Comparing to Manchester City’s De Bruyne, he said, “KDB has been phenomenal since he joined Man City but purely on the goalscoring charts, the goals Salah has scored means if I had a vote it would be Mo Salah’s”.
