Ehab Galal announces Zamalek squad to face Misr El-Makkasa

Zamalek have announced their squad to take on in the 28th round of the Egyptian Premier League at the Suez Stadium.

The White Castle will hope to get back to winning ways after their defeat to Ismaily, when they face Misr El-Makkasa on Sunday, April 8.

The squad witnesses the exclusion of 32-year-old Ayman Hefny, Kasongo Kabongo, Nana Poku, Moruf Yusuf, Mohamed Ashraf, and Mohamed Antar.

On the other hand, decided to include Mahmoud Dunga, Ahmed Refaat, Tunisia international Hamdy Nagguez, and Ahmed Daouda.

Zamalek currently sit third in the Egyptian Premier League with 54 points, five behind second-placed Ismaily. Meanwhile, El-Makkasa lie 13th with 34 points.

It’s worth mentioning that El-Makkasa managed to defeat the White Knights at the Cairo Stadium in the first-leg, and Zamalek’s last win against the Fayoum-based club came in May 2016 in the 2015/2016 season.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shenawy, Mahmoud Gennesh, Omar Salah.

Defenders: Mahmoud Alaa, Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Mahmoud El-Wensh, Hamdy Nagguez, Ahmed Abo El-Fetouh.

Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud Dunga, Ahmed Daouda, Ahmed Tawfik, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Madbouly, Abdallah Gomaa, Youssef Obama, Emad Fathi, Ahmed Refaat.

Forwards: Bassem Morsy.
