Egypt defender has revealed he voted for Liverpool star for the PFA Player of the Year award.

Salah has been delivering spectacular performances with remarkable consistency since arriving at Liverpool in a €42 million deal last summer. He scored 37 goals and registered 12 assists in all competitions this year, including 29 goals that put him on the top of the goal scorers chart in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old winger has broken a number of records since the start of the season, while also equaling the record held by Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba of being the second African player to score 29 goals in a single Premier League season.

Hegazi took to Instagram to disclose about his vote in Salah’s favour, where he posted a shot of choosing his Egypt teammate as Men’s Players’ Player Of The Year.

Salah looks to be one of the favourites for the individual award with Manchester City’s playmaker Kevin De Bruyne his most prominent rival for the accolade after his brilliant showings for the Premier League leaders.

Hegazi and Salah has recently featured for Egypt in their friendly against Portugal, where the Pharaohs were downed by 2-1 result with the Liverpool forward scoring the goal for Egypt.
