Salah achieves massive success in latest campaign to fight drug addiction in Egypt
Mohamed Salah’s heroics off the pitch continue to take further effect on Egyptians as his recent campaign is a huge hit to combat drug addiction problems in Egypt.
Salah, 25, has long been a role model for Egyptian youth and recently became involved in a campaign by the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Fund for Drug Control and Treatment of Addiction (FDCTA) to help fight drug addiction in Egypt.
His fourth campaign for the fund released on the last day of March has been a sensational hit. An official statement from Social Solidarity Minister Ghada Waly revealed that the hotline given has been on the end of a massive 400% increase in calls in the first week of April, compared to March.
The video on social media has gone completely viral, closing in on 10 million views in less than a week. Salah leads the ‘Say no to drugs’ campaign voluntarily as he aims to help youth around the country.
Salah’s heroics away from football continue as just last month he helped pay for a child’s bone marrow transplant surgery in Egypt.
