Jurgen Klopp provides injury update on Mohamed Salah
Jurgen Klopp is hopeful Mohamed Salah will be fit for the Champions League clash against Manchester City after the Egyptian picked up a groin injury in the first-leg.
Mohamed Salah was left out of Liverpool’s squad for the Merseyside derby against Everton due to an injury he sustained during the early stages of the second-half of their last encounter against Manchester City in the Champions League.
And the Reds couldn’t cope with the Egyptian’s absence, playing out a dull 0-0 draw against The Toffees at the Goodison Park.
Klopp revealed before in the press conference held after the Champions League clash that Salah has reassured him about the injury, and today he has provided new updates on him.
“Mo [Salah], he’s injured. I don’t think it is really serious and he can be available for Tuesday, but for today he wasn’t available. It’s the same with [Andy Robertson],” Klopp revealed.
Liverpool are currently third in the Premier League with 67 points and their next game will be against Manchester City in the return-leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday, April 10.
