The Merseyside derby ended 0-0 as failed to find the net against with out due to an injury.

Jurgen Klopp started the derby without his most lethal weapons as Salah was out of the squad, Roberto Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were on the bench, while Nathaniel Clyne started his first Premier League game of the season.

The first chance came from a deflected Clyne cross that gave Dominic Solanke a clear cut chance to score his first ever Premier League goal, but a brilliant save from Jordan Pickford denied the English youngster.

While Everton’s biggest threat in the first half a beautiful curling effort from range by Yannick Bolasie that went inches wide.

The second half was bogged in the middle of the park with both teams failing to create chances, until Chamberlain replaced Milner and made a slaloming run as soon as he entered the pitch, yet his shot went above the crossbar.

Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin went really close to give the home side the lead, however the game ended in a goalless draw as both the teams shared a point each.

Liverpool will be focused on their game this Tuesday at the Emirates Stadium against Manchester City, hoping they will book a spot in the Champions League semi-finals.
