Klopp optimistic for Salah return for Champions League second leg
Mohamed Salah was out of action for the Merseyside derby against Everton due to an injury he sustained during the early stages of the second-half of their last encounter against Manchester City in the Champions League after he presented a magnificent performance at Anfield that led his side to secure a 3-0 win.
“I don’t get a ticker every five minutes on how he feels. At the end we will see,” Klopp said after the derby when asked about the winger’s condition. “That is something to ask the medical team.”
The German coach assured that Salah’s groin injury was not serious and that he hopes he will be available on Tuesday when the Reds face league titles, Manchester City at Emirates stadium.
“We have always to wait until the last minute especially when you only have these short breaks between game,” Klopp added.
