Hussein El-Shahat: I hope to win the treble with Al-Ain


Egypt’s said that he is happy to have joined Al Ain and he is his hoping  to win the treble  this season.

El-Shahat joined the Emirati giants from Egyptian Premier League side Misr El-Makkasa during the January transfer window and has been impressive ever since. He already scored seven goals and provided 12 assists across all competitions with his new side.

“A win against Al Fujairah and the qualification for the next round of the most important competition is very important for the team. Cup games only recognize strong performances and we need to be focused from the very first minutes of the game until the final whistle,” El-Shahat said during the Al Fujairah pre match press conference

“I can tell you once again that I am very happy to have had my first international cap after joining Al Ain and it is no secret that I haven’t won any trophies before joining ‘The Boss’,” he added

“I think when fate allows you to play in such a big club you can’t set a ceiling for your ambitions, and now I dream of winning the treble with the team [League, Cup and AFC Champions League],”

Al Ain are just three points away from winning the Arabian Gulf League with just two games left until the end of the season, their next league game will be against third-placed Al Nasr on April 21.

“Maradona [Al Fujairah manager]is a legend, it’s good to enter a game knowing you will face one of the footballing legends, even though he is going to be in the technical area,” he continued

“All my focus as a professional player will be to implement my coach’s instructions on the field and to do my best throughout the game, especially that we have a very strong motivation to achieve the best results.” he concluded

Al Ain will face Al Fujairah in their next game in the Emirati Presidential Cup quarter final on Wednesday.
