Koka came off the bench as Braga temporarily move up to third place with a convincing 5-1 win over as Wilson Eduardo scored a brace while Horta, Barbosa and Sousa also scored for the Arsenalistas.

Pacos Ferreira XI: Defendi, Gois, Correia, Vieira, Ferreira, Leao, Gian, Xavier, Pedrinho, Quino, Phellype.

Braga XI: Matheus, Goiano, Lukic, Silva, Jefferson, Esgaio, Danilo, Andre Horta,  Ricardo Horta, Eduardo, Paulinho.

Since returning from injury, Braga striker Wilson Eduardo has been in red hot form having scored 5 goals in 12 games headed into this tie. His form continued when a cross by Silva found the striker in the middle of the box for him to head home. Minutes later, Eduardo doubled his tally with a well struck shot from outside the box to beat the keeper at his near post.

In the second half, Pacos de Ferreira appeared to find a route back into the game as a cross deceived the defence and found its way to Phellype who finished into an empty net. The hope was soon quashed when a well worked set piece led to Ricardo Horta finishing at the near post to make it 3-1 to Braga.

After Koka came off the bench, Braga put the game beyond all doubt when Danilo Barbosa headed home from a corner. With the game closed out, Dyego Sousa put the icing on the cake when he muscled his way past the defence before producing a composed finish underneath the goalkeeper, as the game finished 5-1.

The result means that Braga temporarily move into 3rd place, although as they are only ahead of Sporting on goal difference they will require the Lisbon club to lose their game in hand to stay in that position.

Braga’s next game will be at home against Maritimo at the same time next week, on Friday 20th of April at 9:30PM Egyptian time.
