Harry Kane on golden boot race: Salah has had an amazing season
Kane is in a stiff competition with Salah for the Premier League golden boot, with the England striker having 25 goals to his name this season behind Salah who leads the goal scorers chart with 29 goals.
The 24-year-old forward had recently appealed Tottenham’s second goal against Stoke City claiming that he got the last touch on the ball, before the Premier League approving the player’s call and crediting him for the goal.
“Can I catch him [Salah]? We will see. He has done great, he has had an amazing season and has gone ahead, so we will see,” Kane told Sky Sports.
“Because we are battling against Liverpool for the top four as well it’s a bit of excitement. He scores four, let’s see what I can come back with. Whatever happens at the end of the season both of us will have had good seasons and we both enjoy it. It’s just the competition and trying to win, that’s what I enjoy.”
Spurs will face Manchester City while Liverpool will line up against Bournemouth in the 33rd round of the Premier League, with each of Kane and Salah looking to increase their goal tally.
