OFFICIAL: Ahmed Hegazi’s West Brom sack club’s technical director
Pardew was appointed back in November 2017 following the sacking of former manager Tony Pulis after a poor run of results for the Baggies.
Following Tony Pulis’ sacking, it is claimed that Nick Hammond was the one who strongly recommended Alan Pardew’s appointment having previously worked together before at Reading.
“West Bromwich Albion are a great football club which I was honoured to be a part of, great people, great supporters. I wish them every success going forward as I move on to future projects,” said Hammond to the club’s official website.
During Alan Pardew’s tenure as West Brom’s head coach, the Baggies claimed just one win in 18 league games that led Pardew’s sacking just 11 days ago.
West Brom, who currently sit at the bottom of the table, travel away to Old Trafford on Sunday as they face league’s second-placed Manchester United. The Baggies look to claim three points on Sunday to revive their hopes of safety in the league this season.
