Ahmed El-Shennawy could be suffering an ACL injury
Zamalek goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy is suspected to be suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury after his last game against Ittihad of Alexandria.
According to the latest reports, El-Shennawy has ran medical tests and the goalie could be suffering a partial acl injury.
In case these reports are true, the 26-year-old will be missing the rest of the season and the World Cup in Russia as he will not be expected to feature again till October.
The goalkeeper got injured during Zamalek’s game against Ittihad of Alexandria in the Premier League, which forced the coach to replace him with Mahmoud Genesh.
More tests will be done to learn exactly how crucial El-Shennawy’s injury is and how long he will stay sidelined.
