Abdallah El-Said: I adapted quickly with Kuopion Palloseura
Egypt international Abdallah El-Said spoke after his first training sessions with his new team Kuopion Palloseura assuring that he felt happy after his first few days in Finland.
Abdallah El-Said is one the Egyptian national team’s key players who head coach Hector Cuper depends on. He recently finalized a loan move to the Finnish outfit after Al Ahly decided to transfer-list him following the saga which saw him sign for the club’s arch-rivals Zamalek before going back to renew his contract with the Red Devils.
“First I want to thank the club’s officials, staff and players for their warm welcome,” El-Said said in an interview he had with the club’s official website. “I hope I can leave a good impression to the fans during the time I will be staying here.”
The 2018 season just kicked-off in Finland. KuPS have drawn their first match in the league against FC Honka and will play an away game against Llves on Sunday. The 32-year-old Egyptian is expected to start in this game.
“Training sessions were very good. I feel that I adapted quickly with the team,” he added.
El-Said also spoke well about his time with the Red Devils where he went on to make over 225 appearances, scoring 67 goals while providing 54 assists in seven years he spent there coming from Ismaily in 2011.
“I spent seven years with Al Ahly in which I’ve managed to win all competitions with the team,” he explained. “I was happy when I played in Egypt and thankfully managed to present good performances. I would like to thank all those who supported me.”
During his time with Al Ahly, the player won four Premier League titles, two CAF Champions Leagues, one Confederation Cup, one Egypt Cup, two CAF Super Cups, and two Egypt Super Cups.
The midfielder spoke about Egypt’s chances in the 2018 World Cup assuring that he feels the current team will be able to achieve good results. El-Said thinks that the players are now accustomed to Hector Cuper’s tactics and style which will be reflected positively when they go to Russia.
