Tottenham’s raised in ’s defense after all the mockery he received following his goal appeal in their tie with Stoke City last week.

After Kane was awarded the goal against Stoke City (the one was originally given to Christian Eriksen), the poacher received a lot of criticism on social media from a number of footballers, including the league’s historical top scorer Alan Shearer and the man in the race with him this season, .

Apparently Kane did not take the criticism very well and according to his teammate Alli it was a chance for people to take him down and he deserves much better.

“I don’t know how H is going to take it, but I think it gives some people a chance to put him down.

“Playing with him every day in training I can see how hard he works.

“He’s a striker and every striker wants goals, so he has just got to ignore the criticism and focus on himself which I am sure he will do.

“He is an unbelievable player and he is a great person as well. If it was me and I touched the ball I would try to claim it as well.

“I wouldn’t put it past him to beat Salah to the Golden Boot.

“He finished last season really strongly and ended up getting there ahead of Romelu Lukaku.”

The no 10 has won the Golden Boot race in the last two seasons, it will be shocking if he managed to triumph again especially with Salah’s current form.
