Young Africans, USM Alger qualify to Confederation Cup group stage
Tanzania’s Young Africans and Algeria’s USM Alger are among 15 clubs that will accompany Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry in the group stage of CAF Confederation Cup.
Al Masry made it to the group stage after defeating Gabon’s CF Mounana in the Confederation Cup’s playoffs 3-2 on aggregate, with a 1-1 draw in Gabon and a 2-1 win in Portsaid.
Along with Al Masry, Ghana’s Aduana, Congo’s CARA, Williamsville of Cote d’Ivoire, UD Songo of Mozambique, Moroccan outfit RS Berkane and East African duo, Kenyan club Gor Mahia and Rayon Sports from Rwanda have reached this stage of the tournament for the first time.

AS Vita (DR Congo), USM Alger (Algeria), Al Masry (Egypt), Raja Club Athletic (Morocco), CARA (Congo), El Hilal (Sudan), Gor Mahia (Kenya), UD Songo (Mozambique), Enyimba (Nigeria), Aduana (Ghana), Young Africans (Tanzania), RS Berkane (Morocco), Williamsville (cote d’Ivoire), Djoliba (Mali), Rayon Sports(Rwanda)
The group stage draw is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 21. USM Alger, AS Vita, El Hilal and Enyimba will be placed in Pot 1 as heads of groups.
