Hossam El-Badry: I requested the signing of Omar Al Somah
Al Ahly manager Hossam el Badry has revealed that he requested the signing of Omar Al Somah from KSA giants Al Ahli in the upcoming transfer market following his great form in the Saudi Professional League.
Al Somah has been been Al Ahli’s top scorer this season with 11 goals in 15 appearances despite his absence for around two months due to an ankle injury.
The 58-year-old manager expressed his appreciation for the Syrian striker stating “Yes, requested Al Somah, he is an exceptional player, however no official contact was made till now, not even with the agent.”
“I still haven’t known Al Somah’s opinion on a possible move to Al Ahly and I am waiting to figure out.”
El-Badry was also asked about former Wydad Casablanca and current Al Hilal winger Achraf Bencharki, addmitting that he was proposed to the Red Devils.
“I know him and I know he has problems with his current team and they don’t want to keep him.”
