Momen Zakaria included in AFC Champions League Team of the Week

Egypt winger was chosen in the AFC Champions League team of the week after scoring in Al Ahli’s win over Al Jazira.

Zakaria was on the score sheet when he doubled his side’s lead over UAE side Al Jazira before the hosts pulled one back to end the match 2-1 in the last gameweek of the  group stage.

The Saudi club finished top of Group A with four wins in the group stage collecting 14 points, six ahead of second-placed Al Jazira.

The 30-year-old’s goal in the encounter was also nominated for goal of the week alongside Al Ain’s Omar Abdelrahman free-kick goal.

Al Ahly loanee has featured in 16 games for Al Ahli in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals and assisting other three.

Youssef Wael is a massive Al Ahly and Manchester United supporter from Cairo, Egypt. One of the few Egyptians who never really wanted to have a career in football, just played it as a hobby. Wael also played squash for 7 years.
