Momen Zakaria’s goal voted AFC Champions League Goal of the Week

Al Ahli winger has prevailed in the public poll for the Goal of the Week award after his goal against Al Jazira in the group stage’s final round.

Zakaria sent a low curler into the bottom far curler of Al Jazira’s goal to score Al Ahli’s second goal in their 2-1 away victory in UAE, which secured them the top spot in their group.

The 30-year-old forward received 57% of votes for his goal, defeating Al Ain’s talented playmaker Omar Abdulrahman who had scored an exquisite free-kick against Al Rayyan.

Al Ahly loanee’s overall performance against Al Jazira also earned him a place in the AFC Champions League Team of the Week for the final round.

Zakaria has appeared for the Saudi giants 16 games in all competitions this season, netting six goals.
