Morsy, Tarek Hamed excluded as Zamalek name squad for Assiouty
Zamalek head coach Khaled Galal announced his squad ahead of Al Assiouty clash in the Egyptian Premier League which will be held on Sunday, April 22.
Khaled Galal, who replaced sacked coach Ehab Galal, led the White Castle to a tie with Arab Contractors breaking a run of disappointing results in the recent weeks and is now preparing to take on Al Assiouty.
The squad excluded first-choice keeper Ahmed El-Shennawy after he recently suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in addition to striker Bassem Morsy and Moayad Ajan as they are both also injured.
Hazem Emam and Mohamed Ibrahim were also excluded after they were suspended by the board and staff. The coach announced earlier that he decided to not include Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud El-Wensh, Mohamed Ashraf, Abdallah Gomaa, Ahmed Refaat, Maarouf Youssef, Mohamed El-Shamy for technical reasons.
Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Gennesh, Omar Salah.
Defenders: Mahmoud Alaa, Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Hamdy Nagguez, Ahmed Abo El-Fetouh, Eslam Gamal.
Midfielders: Mahmoud Dunga, Ahmed Daouda, Ahmed Tawfik, Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz, Ahmed Madbouly, Ayman Hefny, Emad Fathi, Mohamed Antar.
Forwards: Youssef Obama, Kabongo Kasongo, Nana Poku.
