VIDEO: Atromitos secures Europa League spot after win over Platanias

Egypt international and Atromitos FC winger, Amr Warda, features in his side’s win over Platanias 4-1 in the Greek Super League.

Warda was awarded a penalty in the 28th minute after getting tackled inside the box, where Javier Umbides managed to open the score sheet and give the lead to the Athens-based-club.

Eight minutes later, Atromitos managed to double the lead through a header from Nicolas Diguiny, who received a wonderful cross from the Egyptian.

It was not enough for the home side, as Nicolas Diguiny managed to find the net again in the 68th minute with a beautiful backheel from Javier Umbides free kick.

Three minutes later, Nicolas Diguiny scored the fourth goal of the game and his hattrick after Dimitris Giannoulis low-volley cross, tapping the ball into the net.

Warda opened the way in for Pavlos Kyriakidis, after getting substituted in the 82nd minute, ending the game with an assist and a penalty award.

Platanias managed to score their only goal of the game in the 84th minute through Chigozie Udoji after a wonderful volley inside the box.

Atromitos managed to secure spot after maintaining the fourth place on the table with 50 points, and eleven points away from the fifth place.
