Lampard on Salah: He puts fear into defenders
Former England international Frank Lampard said that Salah is a joy to watch and that he puts fear into defenders following his performance during Liverpool’s 5-2 win over AS Roma.
Salah has proven once again that he is currently the best player in the world and that it is quite impossible to stop him following his great performance against Roma in the first leg of thee Champions semi-final.
Following his two goals and two assists against his former club he has now reached 10 goals in the Champions League, the most by any African player in the competition’s history.
“Some players are a joy to watch balance, quick feet, the fear he is putting into defenders.” Lampard told BT Sport TV channel.
The 25-year-old has now scored 43 goals across all competitions with the Reds this season, he needs five more goals to beat Ian Rush’s record as the player with the most goals in a single season with Liverpool, with at least five games to go until the end of the season.
Liverpool are now looking to finish second in the Premier League, they are currently third with 71 points, three behind Manchester United who have one game in hand. They face Stoke City in their next game on Saturday.
