Abou-Rida phones Salah, promises to solve any problems
Egyptian Football Association (EFA) chairman Hany Abou-Rida promised Egypt’s star Mohamed Salah that they’ll resolve any issue that could cause him any discomfort.
This comes after Salah took to Twitter earlier on Sunday to express his disappointment towards the way the EFA handled the image rights’ dispute, which saw the country’s football governing body use the player’s image on the Egypt team plane.
Afterwards, Abou-Rida said in a statement published on the EFA’s official Facebook page that he spoke to the Premier League’s top goal scorer and assured him that any problem can be solved.
“The important thing is that he and his teammates stay in a good psychological condition and fully focused ahead of the World Cup,” the statement read.
According to the EFA’s official statement, Abou-Rida declared they will solve any problem that is bothering the player who guided Egypt to their first World Cup since 1990.
“There is no problem that can not be solved, especially in terms of marketing and commercial aspects, which are far inferior when compared to the technical or administrative aspects,” Abou-Rida added, according to the statement.
The 64-year-old also claimed that his recent health condition was the main reason why Salah’s problem was not resolved earlier.
