Squash: ElShorbagy brothers dominate top three, El-Welily closes gap on El-Sherbini

brothers Mohamed and Marwan are now ranked first and third on the rankings and Raneem is closing the gap between her and first-placed Nour El-Sherbini.

Marwan has now overtaken Gregory Gaultier’s place as the third on the PSA rankings after winning the World Series title at the El Gouna International tournament, now for the first time since April 2009 three Egyptians dominated the top three of the PSA rankings. It is also the first time since 1994 that two brothers are ranked in the top three.

As for the women’s ranking, following her win of the El Gouna international tournament Raneem El-Welily has now closed the gap between her and first-placed Nour El-Sherbini. The gap is just under 250 points which is the lowest gap since January.
