Mohamed Salah nominated for April’s Premier League Goal of the Month
Mohamed Salah’s effort against Bournemouth has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month award for April.
The 25-year-old scored 31 Premier League goals so far this season, and he leads the Golden Boot race with four goals more than second-placed Harry Kane.
He has been nominated for the April award after scoring a goal in his side’s 3-0 win over Bournemouth on April 14. The former AS Roma winger lobbed Asmir Begovic with a cushioned header in the 69th minute to score his side’s second of the night.
His effort is among eight goals nominated for the Carling Goal of the Month award for April. He’s competing against Christian Eriksen’s screamer and Dele Alli’s first goal against Chelsea, Ayoze Perez’s lob against Leicester City and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s brilliant finish of a team goal against Southampton.
The list also includes Paul Pogba’s first goal in Manchester United’s 3-2 over Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne’s thunderous effort against Swansea and Wilfried Zaha’s effort against Leicester.
