Abdallah El-Said features in Veikkausliiga team of the month
The 32-year-old joined Finnish side Kuopion Palloseura from Al Ahly on a two-month loan after the latter transfer-listed him following the saga which saw him sign for the club’s eternal rivals Zamalek before going back to renew his contract with the Red Devils.
During his time in Finland, the Egyptian international featured in five games, assisting twice as his side currently sit third in the Veikkausliiga after six games.
El-Said’s teammate Petteri Pennanen has been named the league’s Player of the Month for April after scoring five goals in six games, including a super hattrick against IFK Mariehamn.
Meanwhile, Amr Gamal, who plies his trade at HJK Helsinki, didn’t feature in the team of the month, with teammates Faith Friday Obilor and Sebastian Dahlström making the team.
Gamal, who is also on loan from Al Ahly, has made six league appearances for HJK Helsinki, assisting only once against Ilves Tampere.
El-Said KuPS’s next game will be against fifth-placed on SJK on Thursday, May 3, while second-placed HJK Helsinki will be up against FC Lahti, who sit fourth.
