Both players will sit out their team’s encounter with Egyptian Premier League runners up, Ismaily, in the Egypt Cup semi-final after picking up their third yellow card in the competition.

As Zamalek came back from one goal down to win 3-1 against Entag El-Harby in the quarter-finals both players have been shown the yellow card, respectively, in the game to earn themselves a suspension.

It is worth mentioning that with the White Knights’ first goalkeeper, Ahmed El-Shennawy, out after suffering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury that will sideline him from the World Cup.

Zamalek will be left with their 20-year-old third goalkeeper Omar Salah in the clash that could take them to the final where they look to end the season with a trophy.
