Stoke City suffer relegation after their loss to Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace troops hit the ground running as they dominated the first half leaving no chance for the Potters to create any chances.
However, Stoke City were lucky enough to find their first shot on target bagging the net, as a free kick from Xherdan Shaqiri was curled by a deflection from Ruben Loftus-Cheek to mark the first goal for the home side, ending the first half 1-0.
Sobhi was introduced in the second half replacing Peter Crouch on the 67th minute and unfortunately his first pass went wrong and caused a crucial counter attack on an exposed back line giving Crystal Palace the advantage to go level thanks to James McArthur.
As Stoke City held more possession in hopes to find the winner, Ryan Shawcross’s interception gave Patrick van Aanholt a clear cut chance and the Dutch player did not miss it making the scoreline 1-2 to Crystal Palace.
As Swansea are set to face Southampton with one of them securing any points in the fixture, now Stoke City are officially in the Championship.
