Junior Ajayi remains out against KCCA FC in the Champions League

Nigerian striker will not be traveling with to face Kampala Capital City Authority FC in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

The 22-year-old is still suffering a muscle injury and although there were hopes he will join his teammates in their trip to Uganda, he was declared not fit.

Al Ahly struggled to fill the void left by Ajayi and Walid Azaro as they failed to win their previous tie against Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

The Nigerian has fired nine goals and 11 assists in his 32 appearances for the Red Castle this season, he has signed for Al Ahly from Tunisian side CS Sfaxien.

Al Ahly’s remaining two fixtures this season are against KCCA FC in the CAF Champions League and Al Masry in the Egyptian Premier League.
