Khaled Galal to remain Zamalek coach next season, says Zamalek president
Khaled Galal managed to bring momentum to Zamalek after the team have won three games in a row, including Al Ahly in the league and Ismaily in Egypt Cup semifinal, with the team demonstrating a clear shape and identity throughout their games.
Zamalek’s current state inspired Mansour to announce that the club has dismissed the idea of hiring Gross as coach, with Galal to continue with the Whites next year, describing the team’s recent form as ‘very promising’.
“Khaled Galal is a respectful and a competent manager and he will be at the helm of the team next season. We will not be hiring any foreign coaches,” the Zamalek president told Sada El Balad channel.
“Gross strangely requested the exclusion of Khaled Galal from his technical staff and therefore I rebuffed signing the contract. Galal is on par with Hossam El-Badry who succeeded in triumphing the Egyptian Premier League for two years in a row.”
“I have been praying for quite some time that Gross does not coach Zamalek. I congratulate Khaled Galal for maintaining his job, I am very happy with what he is achieving and this decision is like a reward,” he concluded.
