Mohamed Salah wins Champions League Goal of the Week
The Reds’ goal-machine found the net twice against the Giallorossi in their 5-2 win in the first leg of the Champions League. But it was his first curling strike, which opened the scoreline, that helped him snatch the award.
Salah won the majority of votes surpassing Marcelo and Marco Asensio (Real Madrid), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), and Roma’s Radja Nainggolan.
He has previously collected the Champions League Goal of the Week award for his goal against Manchester City, when the Reds earned a 2-1 win in the second-leg of the quarter-final at Etihad Stadium.
The young Pharaoh will be leading Liverpool to the final in Kiev, Ukraine, on May 26 after the team managed to defeat AS Roma 7-6 on aggregate.
