Al Taawoun hire Portuguese coach Pedro Emanuel
Saudi club Al Taawoun have announced the appointment of former Estoril coach Pedro Emanuel on the head of their coaching staff starting from the upcoming season.
Al Taawoun have named Pedro as new manager to succeed his fellow Portuguese coach Jose Manuel Gomez who had lasted for one year with the team.
Al Taawoun hold Egypt’s legendary goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary among their ranks after he joined them in June 2017. Al Ahly renowned striker Emad Meteb has also spent a four-month loan spell at the team since January 2018.
“Al Taawoun management have officially signed Portuguese manager Pedro Emanuel on a one-year contract with an option for an additional year to take over the first team,” Al Taawoun statement mentioned.
“The deal include signing Emanuel and his coaching staff after evaluating several coaching CVs and it was backed by the club’s board of directors.”
