Hossam Ghaly advises Ramadan Sobhi to stay in Europe
Sobhi has joined Stoke City from Al Ahly in June 2016 for 5M euros but has not found his real self since joining the Potters and failed to live up to expectations. Sobhi has collected a total of 46 appearances for Stoke, scoring three goals.
Stoke are the current bottom of the Premier League table and have already known their fate after their home 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace meant they are playing in the Championship next season.
“I love Ramadan Sobhi a lot and I was glad to play with him. Ramadan is a special player and possesses great abilities, he will benefit Egyptian football in the coming years,” Ghaly told Sada El Balad channel.
“I urge him to stay in England or Europe as long as possible and to not cut his spell abroad. Certainly his return to Al Ahly is welcomed but I hope that this is fulfilled in a later period of his career.”
It is worth mentioning that Al Ahly captain had taken the decision to retire from football with his farewell match between Al Ahly and Ajax arranged to take place on May 15 in UAE.
