Real Madrid’s Carvajal speaks about Salah encounter
Liverpool will be up against the Spanish giants in the final after they knocked out Roma 7-6 on aggregate, while Real Madrid beat Bayern Munich 4-3 over the two legs.
Despite failing to score in his last three games, the Egyptian remains a threat to any team and is expected to give Real Madrid defenders a hard time in the final match.
Carvajal is due to return to the squad as he is recovering from an injury sustained during the opening leg of the Champions League semifinals against Bayern Munich which forced him out of the semifinals second leg.
“I’ve started to play with the ball and feel fantastic. I’ve been without pain for days and my mind is set on Kiev. I won’t take even the smallest risk,” he explained.
The encounter will be Salah’s first European final, but it’s not his first game against Real Madrid, as the Egyptian faced them in the Champions League round of 16 during his time at Roma.
“Salah? No team reaches a UCL final with only one player. LFC have done very well and their path has not been easy,” Carvajal added.
The Egyptian star will be hoping to become the only second Arab to lift the Champions League title after Algeria’s Rabah Madjer, who won it with FC Porto against Bayern Munich in 1987.
