Mohamed Salah voted Liverpool Player of the Season
Mohamed Salah has been named Liverpool Player of the Season at the Liverpool Players’ Awards ceremony on Thursday night.
He collected the accolade, which is voted for by the club fans, at the Reds’ end-of-season awards ceremony. The Egypt international was handed the award by teammate Virgil van Dijk.
Salah, who joined the Premier League side from AS Roma during the 2017 summer transfer window, has put in impressive performances in his debut season at Liverpool.
He scored 43 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions and won a host of prizes including the PFA Player of the Year and the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award. He’s also leading the Premier League Golden Boot race with 31 goals, three ahead of second-placed Harry Kane.
He’ll now focus on his team’s final league game on May 13 against Brighton before preparing for the Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 26.
It's time for the big one…
