Amr Gamal’s HJK Helsinki lose Finnish Cup Final
Amr Gamal’s HJK Helsinki lost the final of the Finnish Cup 0-1 against FC Inter after a late goal in the 82nd minute.
After beating FC Honka in the semi-finals last April, HJK Helsinki suffered a late goal by 21-year-old midfielder Mikko Kuningas.
The Egyptian was an unused substitute in the final as he didn’t get the chance to give his side a helping hand in the game.
HJK Helsinki were deprived the chance of winning a 14th Suomen cup more than any team in Finland and by this loss they have now given the Europa League spot next season to FC Inter.
Gamal’s team currently hold 16 points in the league and are level on points with Veikkausliiga leaders Rovaniemen Palloseura.
HJK Helsinki will travel to face Turun Palloseura next Friday 18 of May in the league.
